Switch your brain off and have fun!
Its a fun game so long as you are not looking to usse your brain much. Just go around and shoot anything that moves, and some buildings tooo! The game can get hard at times put there are plenty of cheats on the net that you can use, if you cant find them, just get in touch with me. It really becomes good when you start playing with your mates! The the playablitly of the game is at its peak! ITS GREAT FUN!(Basicly your a boat driver, and you have different boats and weapons to use, also have a turbo to use & you are sent on missions.) HAVE FUN!

Good Value... If youre a serious ganes player!
Make no mistakes, the concepts behind this game are VERY simple. Pick a boat, choose which guns to put on the boat, shoot other boats. If that description puts you off, dont buy the game - its a simple as that. If youre still reading however, Ill assume that that didnt put you off TOO much! The mission structures of this simple action game mainly consist of driving around shooting other boats with the occasional added thrill of a time limit or a special boat to kill. This game isnt worth £40, agreed. This game is WELL worth £20 though! But why? Well, simple though the concept may be, this game is well worth getting into. At first it seems as though there is absolutley no skill involved in blowing oposing boats away - but as you soon find out from about level 5 in the games massive 24 mission campaign, this game is VERY hard, even on the easiest difficulty! Youll have to learn to be fast and deadly in the water, using torpedoes, cannons, static shockers, chainguns and mines to best efficiency. Get the hang of the awkward controls (rather like driving a vehicle in Halo - you should know what I mean if youve played Halo... if you havent however, what are you doing thinking of spending your money on ANY game other than HALO?!?) and theres a LOT of depth to this game. About 25 boats to unlock, 8 maps (which dont really seem that diffrent, but are still nice) and 8 Game modes (such as player vs computer team deathmatches). The 4 player multiplayer deathmatch modes are great as well, just work out whos what boat first - its absolutley no fun if youre all battleships... but what about a 3 speedboats vs 1 battleship match? Just how many torpedoes CAN you dodge?!? Youll sit down to play this game for 5 minuites, and youll die, and youll try again, and youll get into that whole "Just one more go" spiral that has ruined every gamers social life! And the best bit of it all is, you DO get better, and then when you go back to deatmatch against youre friends, youll be playing 3 battleships vs 1 speedboat, and still sending their ships to the briny depths! Bwaaa haaa haaa! Long live the Shadow Clan! P.S. When I say hard, just take the fifth mission as an example - it forces you to capture and defend 3 ships, whilst throwing bucketloads of faster, stronger boats at you. It seems impossible at first, but when you learn to aim those torpedoes.... ooooo, the satisfaction of seeing those boats go sky high!

What it says on the box....
This game is incredibly simple. Theres nothing more to it then blowing things up. Youll be able to attempt missions, which as you can guess, involve blowing up boats and land structures, escorting friendlies, and err, blowing things up. So yeah, the missions arent really that varied, youll just experience bigger and more frequent enemy boats. Thats not to say that it isnt fun though. After each successful mission youll unlock certain features and new boats, which can be fairly enjoyable. Ive never played this game multiplayer, so cannot really comment, but Ive heard it can be pretty fun blowing your mates out of the water. The visuals in this game are very impressive; the water is crisp and far surpasses such effects youll see in Wave Racer: Blue Storm on GameCube. Although the frame rate is quite acceptable, if you watch the background youll see it certainly isnt a smooth ride because it seems to jog its way along, this isnt a reason not to buy it, but I thought Id just bring it up. Overall, this game is for people who arent expecting much more than some good ol fun at sea. Its not going to be the best game youve ever played :P, but will certainly fill some hours that would have otherwise been filled with utter boredom.
