Luigis lost in his Mansion
No Mario launch title? Has to be a first doesnt it? Still with Mario Sunshine on the horizon this will fill your boots and then some until Mario hits the cube.
From the start you are treated with some stunning graphics, from the opaque walls which disappear then repear depending on how far forward you face, to the cocky ghosts which sneak up behind poor Luigi and scare him. Mirrors that reflect Luigi seem very clear and well done, as is the amazing lighting effects, from candles and even ghosts themselves emit light. The sound is Dolby, and well used with sounds bouncing around the stereo setting off some nice atmosphere.
Gameplay works a treat, and I was a little put off by the controls until I managed to get to grips with it. You can control Luigis torch / hoover independently of walking around. The torch and hoover are used in conjunction with each other to stun, then hoover up the ghosts. The end of level bosses are as odd as ever from a title like this, the first boss just plain freaks me out! Overall a fairly easy / fun / kids game, but one that shows off the potential of the cube.

Luigis Mansion
The worlds first Hoover em up? This game has brilliant 3D graphics. Luigi wins a mansion in a competition he didnt enter. It is unfortunately full of Ghosts which love the dark. You have to save Mario who has been captured by King Boo and trapped in a portrait. You are armed with only a flashlight, the Poltergust 3000 and a gameboy horror, Professor Elvin Gadds invention, you must suck up all the ghosts you can. There are 3 medals to collect which enable you to shoot fire, water or ice from your vacuum. It is a superb game overall.

Luigis Mansion(Gamecube)
Wow, What a fun game. Imagine being able to play a realistic "Ghostbusters" game because basically thats what this is, or so it would seem on the surface but dig deeper and you will discover that theres more to this title than meets the eye..The path through the game is fairly linear but that doesnt distract from the pleasure it gives and its never that frustrating, You always want to see what the next room has in store..Each room in the mansion has at least one ghost to be captured and once that room is free of ghosts the light comes on..Capturing the ghosts is done using a vacuum cleaner (basically) that Luigi wears on his back but if its used for too long at a time it catches fire and the ghost escapes, but get the timing right and the ghost is history..
turn all the lights on in the Mansion to completely exorcise it..The game has lots of lovely little touches such as Luigi whistling the games theme tune and when hes frightened or his health is low it sounds trembly.

Luigis Mansion may seem a little short to experienced players but the re-play values mean that you will always want to find that last secret that eluded you before, Every so often there will be a big ghost(boss)to tackle and once he is dispached the hoover is emptied at the laboratory...Thats all im telling because I dont want to spoil it for you, but if your a Mario fan then this is an essential purchase..

GameCube RGB Scart Cable

I bought this cable only to find that its not true RGB. Only 8 of the Pins are wired, it would be better to look at another make of RGB cable, as I found out but too late...

Legends Of Wrestling

When Acclaim lost the extremely lucrative rights to produce the official WWF game, they invested in the WCW licence--which promptly went bankrupt. Without another recognisable federation to back, they produced a game featuring ex-wrestling stars. Legends of Wrestlings presentation lacks the polished sheen of WWF SmackDown. Character selection and in-between bout screens are basic and static affairs. This lack of polish is highlighted by the pre-bout introductions, where the wrestle..

Crazy Taxi (GameCube)

The arcade version of Crazy Taxi was a massive hit, with its high speed driving and pounding soundtrack. Creators, Sega, ported it over to the Dreamcast where it sold by the bucket-load, and now its available for the PS2, the Xbox and the GameCube. And its superb. The aim of the game is simple. Drive a ludicrously fast taxi and make oodles of cash as quickly as possible--easy!

Choosing from one of four drivers, each with their own skill set, the player needs to locate and pick up pote..

Burnout (GameCube)

Like your racing games fast, furious and full of spectacular smashes? Youre in luck. With Burnout, Acclaim remove all pretence of going for a serious simulation and instead serve up a delicious dish of pure arcade fun. There are two key selling points to the game--the speed the action runs at and the spectacular crashes. To facilitate these, the set-up couldnt be more straightforward, with the simple aim to be first past the post. You can increase your chances of this by driving more dang..
