For Home, DJing, Work and Drumming a must.
I originally bought my headphones for when I was drumming with my band at weddings. I wanted the closed back so I could protect my hearing by cutting out some of the drum noise. Before this I was having to use a very loud monitor to hear over the drums and had ringing in my ears for about 2 days after the gig. For this they were great!
Since then I have been doing a bit of DJing at weddings, they do every a DJ wants, even manage to block out the noise of the drunk bloke asking for the Birdy song. Again for this they were great.
Another thing I have used them for is mixing sound live, especially if youre trying to use aux channel to give a recording, the closed back works so well that you can get a pretty good idea of what you are mixing and often get have decent end result. This is why I have just bought a second pair because I am giving my original ones to my church for recording the service.
And lastly a great use for these headphones is at work (or for that matter, the train, bus in the street) while it looks funny a huge set of headphones on your head in public, you never annoy any one with unwanted music leakage. The closed back means you have the music really quite loud before anyone even notices it and if you need your music that loud you probably should just invest in a good hearing aid instead. So again for this they are great.
Amazon get them back into stock and people will buy because they are great. (I paid £70 for my first pair so the online price is also great!)

Initial review - very promising
Having just received these cans today, and carrying out initial listening with them Im very impressed.
Granted they cost £70 and should justify that, but nonetheless they are superb so far.
These are particularly engineered for bass, and they have it - in spades. Sound is clear, but powerful bass enhances it no end.
They dont shirk at high volumes either, making the ears bleed with clear output which doesnt crackle. Treble is beautifully defined, and has the right level of clarity.
The only criticism I have of them is the coil cable. While the other review is spot on terms of it making usage tidy, it also causes no end of irritation if youre trying to extend away from the hi fi.
But the sounds quality is so good youll forgive this nuance.

Ministry Of Sound DJ1003 Professional Headphones Review
I bought these headphones with the intention of being able to experience very high quality music and hearing comfort at the privacy of my home or office. The DJ1003 model was certainly a high-range headphone designed for professional or home use.

Its sound quality was clear and crisp, and the headphones speaker system was able to play loud music without any weird sound distortions or with any backgroud noise such as hissing sounds. I am very satisfied with the sound quality of this unit.

The DJ1003 not only came with a sufficient long wire, but this wire was coiled. This coiled wire reduced the amount of space occupied by the wires and also helped to prevent the entanglement of the wire with other objects.

The ear-cups of the headphones were very well designed. Being fully adjustable, they are able to fit comfortably onto anybodys head. People who like to use their headphones in other unconventional positions are also pleased to know that the rotatable ear-piece allows full flexibility of how the headphones are worn.

The speakers in the ear-cup was not too close to the ear-lobes when worn and this reduced or elimenated any discomfort due to the speakers pressing on the ear. Together with the soft and well fit leather ear-cup cushions, the headphones felt like they were not physically there, thus allowing me to fully enjoy the extremely clean surround sound of the headphones with near perfect comfort.

I would recommend this headphones to people who demand professional comfort and audio quality in their headphones.

Philips CDR775 CD Recorder

Philips CDR 775 audio CD recorder brings high-speed recording and hard-wired convenience to a new level of affordability. The deck works equally well as a recorder and as a player, thanks to its abundant hook-up options. It doesnt muster the stellar quality from its analogue outputs that youll find in pricier CD recorders and players, though the digital outputs sound fine.

The CDR 775 is equally happy receiving data from either of the two established means of digital audio transmission (opti..

Panasonic DVD-RV31EBS DVD Player

I got one of these a couple of months ago. I paid a lot more than the Amazon price too:-(

Ill know next time.

I use the digital output to hook up to my Videologic DigiTheatre decoder and speakers, and this is a great player for surround sound, but like any player you need extra kit.
The decod..

Samsung Yepp 32MB Digital Audio Player

The Samsung Yepp is easily one of the coolest-looking digital audio players around. The most outstanding feature of the Yepp is its size--only 3.2 by 2.4 by 0.97 inches and 1.7 ounces; its the size a deck of cards (and just a bit lighter). The controls are easily reached and the player has great sound. Better still, it never skipped a beat during our testing even when it was inadvertently slammed around a few times.

Of course, with its small size, youre paying a price in memory. This Yepp hol..

Philips HS501Headphones with neckband

I mean really, what can you say about headphones?

Well lets start with the quite nifty design of these things, the support band goes around the back of the head keeping the headphones attached without causing hair to be displaced to such a degree as usual. Theres the gold plated pin, I dont know i..
