quality all around especially for the price!!!!!
When i moved house i needed a new phone so being the lazy person i am i decided to get a cordless phone. Having no clue what to buy i bought the one that was cheap and still modern looking. When i set this phone up i noticed how light and ergonomic(easy to hold)it was. This phone is so good i can go downstairs outside and down to the end of my 30 ft drive and it still works perfectly. If someone came to me and asked what cordless phone should they buy i would definatley make them buy the DBTEL Amethyst 740 Digital Cordless Phone. quality all around what else can say.

Cheep as chips
Very nice phone, about the same size as a nokia 5110. Very light and the reception is realy good, you do get a wee hissy noise while talking but still very clear. I have not attempted the range on it, but whos ever going to be more than 50mtrs away from the base unit(lets get real here)

hissing makes this unusable
This phone arrived today and was easy enought to set up. After charging the batteries I started to make calls and found that no matter how close I was to the base unit I got terrible hissing. I ended up switching to a normal phone every time just to carry on the conversation. Honestly, Ive got a 10 year old normal cordless phone that gives much better quality than this. Avoid!
