Does exactly what it says on the box...
The Palm M100 HotSync Cradle. Its a cradle, which HotSyncs your M100; not much more you can really say about it. Oh, alright then. From a functionality point of view, it does nothing that the cable which comes with your M100 doesnt do already. You definitely dont NEED it, but its a nice accessory to have nonetheless. The cradle itself has a fairly heavily weighted base, meaning that you can easily take the M100 in and out of the cradle without it scooting around your desk. It also makes it pretty easy to hit the HotSync button; instead of having to fumble around with the cable, you can just jab the button on the front of the cradle to do the job. More importantly, though, it gives your Palm somewhere safe to sit; if your desk is the type which is lacking on space and overloaded with clutter, having a secure spot where you can keep your Palm without losing it or (even worse) accidentally knocking it on the floor is a godsend. The only minor gripe is that due to the shape of the docking point on the cradle, its impossible to fit your Palm straight into it if its in a protective case; the cradle will only accept the unit itself. Long story short; it doesnt do anything new, but youll probably still find it handy to have.

do you already have the cable??
If you already have the Hotsync cable there really isnt much point to it (except for appearance). It does exactly the same job. The cable itself is already easy to connect, this isnt any more easier. And lets face it, the Hotsync system works like a treat - Just Press The Button! But if you dont have cable, or need an extra one, than the £5 extra will just be for Aeshetics.

Ill make this one short but nice. Quality is not that good because sometimes it gets blured for some ubknown reasons, maybe its very sensittive to motion that even slight motion will screw it up. Theres nothing too much you can say about this, really; three replacement styli, identical to the one which comes with your M100. The standard stylus for the M100 is pretty dodgy; too slim to hold properly without enough weight to it, but thats more an inherent design flaw with the unit itself as op..
