Its Simply The Best!
The Nikon CoolPix 2000 Is a must buy for any person who would like a good digital camera. This Camera is sleek, pretty and of course the quality of the pictures is incredible, (and I only have it on normal quality, It can go from basic to Excellent). This Camera has a great zoom function which keeps the picture as crystal clear as it was before you zoomed in and then there is the digital zoom which adds even more zoom! This camera can turn heads in the street and make you look very cool, with your crystal images. I personally only have a 32mb memory card, and this can hold about 130 photos with ease. The next best thing about this camera is the many functions of it. As with many digital cameras it has a turnable dial to select what you want to do, this camera has loads of options. I will list them. Replay - Shows all the pictures you have taken. Standard - The normal photo, (the one to use nearly all the time). Movie - This is a great function that allows you to create cute little 20 second video clips of great quality. This camera actually has 5 more functions, (party, outdoor, indoor, snow scene, silhouette) which are all great. I just cant really list them all as that would take to long. The best thing about this camera in my opinion is the battery life. I started off with a canon A40 digicam, this was great(ish) the only reason it is an ish is because of the battery life, with this Nikon, I can take all 130 odd photos, and more because I end up deleting some and reshooting them. And with the Canon, once I took 2 yes 2! photos and it ate all four of my batterys! All I can say is that you should buy this camera as it is great value and quality. (I reccomend you get rechargable batts for this camera as even though it takes alot to finish off the batteries it is much more cost effective to get rechargable ones). ;-) Have fun with this GREAT piece of technology!

Value with Quality
Having owned at different times over the last 30 years, (S.L.R.s - Medium Format and Large Format cameras), with all the baggage that goes with this equipment I have come to realise that to be able "to capture the moment" you need something pocket size, with you always, with a reasonable quality zoom lens and intuitive to use. The Nikon Coolpix 2000 seems to fulfill that role superbly. What has impressed me with the Nikon is its ability to resolve colour saturation at a level that you would expect from a much larger format camera. The sharp prints (up to 10 x 8)were beyond my expectations for such a compact camera. There is a degree of overide with the camera for creative shots but its performance in auto mode is more than adequate for most pictures. I have found that with a 64mb card and using ni-mh rechargeable batteries I can shoot throughout the day on one set of batteries. Until someone releases a camera of this size and quality with full manual overide I cannot see this camera being replaced.

Good Value for Money
Very nice way to start off in the digital camera world. The only issue I had was the lack of a view finder when you want to save on battery power. The movie capture mode has no mic for sound, but then again it is not a camcorder. Otherwise the different features for the various shooting modes are more than adequate for beginners to intermediates. You just turn a dial and shoot. I found that your next step is to get a book on light and then you start to really get to start playing with more features that are tucked away "under the hood" The thing with this little guy is that in auto-mode you get the simplicity of being able to pick it up and just point and shoot without having to think what you are doing and light settings or focus or anything. You also get a simple menu that will let you easily get to the more advanced features like Exposure, Best Shot selector, Multi-shot, Continuous shot(for action shots), Slide show, print & transfer selection. Also included is a cable to view on your TV. Well Done Nikon this is an excellent Mid range camera that will let the beginner develop into a pro.

Nikon COOLPIX 4300 Digital Camera [4MP 3xOptical]
|
I recently took the plunge to digital mainly because I was getting sick of carrying round a big (but very good) SLR plus lenses, plus remembering to buy film, plus remembering to keep my processing slips, plus having to wait for a week after holidays to see the results. I checked out a variety of..

Nikon Wc-E80 Wide Converter 5400/5700
|
The Coolpix 5400 will not produce satisfactory photographs in flash mode with the Wide Angle Converter lens fitted because the lens blocks the cameras photocell sensor. The lens also blocks the cameras inbuilt flash giving a shadow. There is no obvious indication of this problem in the sales l..
