Great Book
I bought the book, and read it cover to cover. I learned a lot of stuff and I feel it is responsible for my success. The CDs are terrible though.

Superb! A "must read" for anoraks and IT professionals!
Providing you are good with a glossary, dont mind spending a little time on sideways research, this book provides everything required on building your own PC for all but the absolute beginner. Logically laid out, sensibly written and with good diagrams, this book teaches you the basics (RAM replacement) right through to more advanced skills such as building your own PC. Although a little dated now (printed before the advent of PIII etc), it gives enough knowledge for you to adapt to the new technologies coming on-line at the moment. One of the two CDs that came with the book didnt work (seemingly a common problem), but a quick e-mail to Amazon solved that problem without fuss (well done). Overall, if you are an intermediate computer user who likes tinkering with the innards, or an IT professional who needs to learn more about hardware, this book is for you. Excellent!
