Waitec Funky
Very funky as its name suggests. A very resonably priced item for what you get at the end of the day. With its MP3 Tag recogintion it makes a mcuh better peurchase that the Jammin MP3 CD player offered by waitec, the extra features are well worth paying the extra for. Easy to use and navigate with a perhaps slightly small LCD display. Lacking perhaps in output and a backlight the player is a reaonable buy. If you are looking for a mid range MP3 CD player then this has the lot, with the ability to play CDRWs for under £100 along with many other features you wont find anything else at this price with this many features packed in.
A word of warning the remote is only an inline remote which the manufacturers wont tell you directly, however still a valuble tool.
A msut buy for the first time buyer in an MP3 CD player, an absolute bargain.

Adequate
The Waitec Funky Player is as good a MP3/CD Player as you can hope to get for the price. Seemingly based around the Napa 316 this player comes with re-chargeable batteries and internal re-charger, reasonable headphones (earbuds) AC adaptor and in-line remote. The player itself plays MP3 files extremely well as well as regular CDs. The only downfalls about this product is the lack of backlit display (you cant see what track is playing in the dark) and the maximum output is quite weak at > 5mW (32 Ohms) The other slight downfall is the lack of bass boost, instead having four settings; Classic, Pop, Jazz & Rock, which to be honest do not make much of a difference. But as mentioned previously for the price, you are getting a second generation MP3/CD player that is sturdy and practical. The carry strap however is a bit silly...
