Good quality, good price but......
Ive bought it a few months ago and it worked instantly. After trying a few rented DVDs, i tried some self-made VCDs. No way said the DVD-player. Its a very nice player but it doesnt play CD-Rs or CD-RWs.....

Wicki
This player is awesome. My sister has a Panisonic one, and comparing the two; I can clearly state that the Sony is better! The image is totally clear, and the sound it great, even just on my stereo telly! And Im probably going to buy surround sound just to compliment the player :o) As was said in another review, the buttons on the remote are extremely sensitive! (This would normally be a good thing! - at least you dont need to jab them). Ive lost count the ammount of times Ive rolled over and stopped it! (thankfully the OFF button on the remote isnt as sensitive!) One thing I dont like about the DVD player (and others), is that when you switch off the film, you loose your place, unlike a video. But, which the scene selection, its hardly anything to make a fuss about! :o)

Good value for money
Being new to non-computer DVD, I wanted something that would not cost the earth and would give good quality. The Sony does all of that. Easy to connect with scart, phono and coax connections. The front-right circular dial is supposed to be pushed-in at the top ! I initially thought it had been damaged. Only niggles are the on-screen menus being a little difficult to understand, and the remote control not having a numeric pad. But what the heck - for relatively little money, you get a good name with some impressinve features - and it looks good !

CD/DVD Tower - PSX2
|
"I love watching DVDs and listening to music on the PS2, with the sound station on full. The problem is that I have no-where to put the disks!" That all changed when I bought the disk tower. It has a sleek design which fits both 8 and 12cm CDs and/or DVDs. Along with matching the PS2s colour scheme,..

CD/DVD/Memory Card Carry Case - PSX2
|
The case is very nice and is adequately sturdy, but I have to say, whats the point? Why would someone want to carry their PS2 around with them? (unless theyre going to play it during their lunch hour.) The product is good, but without a purpose. All I have to say to the designer is, "Nice try, but i..

Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines - Premier Range (DVD Packaging)
|
Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines places you in the command of one to six soldiers (known as, naturally, the commandos), all with their own sets of skills, strengths and weaknesses. The game defies standard real-time strategy conventions by eschewing such typical features as resource accumulation and unit creation. Pyro Studios and Eidos Interactive, in changing the way real-time strategy games are played, have moulded Commandos: BEL into a far more tactical and strategic game than its..

Sony DVP-NS400D Black DVD Player
|
The Sony DVP-NS400 is a DVD player complete with a surround sound decoder and some excellent little touches. The slim NS400 has Sonys typical classy finish, sleek and purposeful. The menu system is mercifully easy to use and the player is simple to set up. Some thought has obviously been put into the onscreen menus, which can be confusing on some players and require frequent reference to the manual. Itll play CD-RW and CD-R discs, which can come in handy if youve a PC with CD-Writer, but for man..
