Neat machine
I had been after a DVD player for a while, and in various places I saw some good reviews for this one. After some web research I found the cheapest price was with Amazon so I ordered it.Delivery was quick (as ever) and it came well packed. It is connected to my TV with a SCART lead, the picture quality is top notch and so far Ive yet to find a DVD it cannot play. The DVD-ROM and player software on my PC, although the ltest up-to-date versions of everything failed to play "The Italian Job" but the Toshiba had no problems at all. I have yet to use the multi-region facility, but it is good to have it for future proofing - wont need to buy another player for a good long time yet. It copes with my TV well, it is nota wide screen TV so some films need to be cropped to 4:3 to watch OK (I hear the DVD fans scream as I type this!!). However watching proper widescreen is no problem, and a good comprimise can be found by tweaking the menu settings. A very good machine, Im happy with it and don;t hesitate recommending this to others.

Toshiba SD120E
The machine is easy to set up and it has a clear easy-to-understand remote control. The quality is excellent but get a surround sound TV to make the most of the top-class audio facilities. Scene switching is fast and flicker free and the menu system makes it easy to navigate a disk. Buy It.
