Great product, but some points to be aware of...
Absolutely fantastic DV camcorder. Very intuitive and easy to navigate, with a lot of scope for manual control as well as fully automated. Although excellent, so far no reviews have mentioned the less positive points, so the following are for those looking for a balance! ;-)

- quality of recording on memory stick is lower than DV tape (obvious to some, but not all)
- only 4MB memory stick -- if you want to buy one with 128MB itll cost you another GBP110 or thereabouts
- battery time is measured on continuous use. Normal use (i.e. using LCD screen to view, starting/stopping, using zoom, etc.) reduces battery time massively. Supplied battery wil last 1 hour with normal use. The s-called 8-hour battery will only last 3 hours at most with normal use... Also, its so large that you have to fully extend the viewfinder in order to fit the battery onto the camera...

Best value for money
530 lines of Horizontal resolution is just awesome. 3.5 in LCD is really big. Still image quality is too good for 6x4-photo size. Photo quality matches that of mid range digital camera. 1.5 megapixel on single CCD only SONY can do it. Movable viewfinder is much better than the fixed one that comes with PC110/120. Weight just 100 grams more than PC120. A firm hands grip and additional belt so that you can keep camcorder hanging around shoulder or neck. This is not available with PC110/120 so when you are not shooting you have to either hold camcorder in your hand or keep it in bag. Carl Zesis lenses one of the best in the Market. DV in/out, Analogue in/out, Laserlink out. Proper buttons for various menu operations behind the LCD and not the feather touch like PC110/120 that sometimes annoys when you end up pressing some other key. What else you would expect from this Masterpiece. Go for it, without thinking twice.

Sony DCR-TRV330 Digital8 Camcorder

I have managed to edit lots of vintage tapes on this machine and it has an amazing variety of tricks that add to its value for money.
Only downside is that not all the cables come with it - no camcorder bag and short life battery and memory stick supplied. But otherwise certainly worth serious co..

Sony DCR-TRV15 DV Camcorder

A very good product. Excellent DV Quality with low cost but... (this word "bad", allways comes with low cost products)
... there is only analogoue and dv out (firewire IEEE1394). No dv in is present.
When I bought the DCR-TRV15 thought I would not need the dv-out. But with pc editing is really..

Sony DCR-TRV725 Digital8 Camcorder

Great value is the best way of describing this camcorder. Its not the smallest (in fact its quite bulky by digital standards) but its got great features for the price. The inclusion of memory stick technology allows full link-up with a PC and great versatility as a still digital camera with a useful..

Sony DCR-PC110 DV Camcorder

The Sony DCR-PC110 Mini DV camcorder is loaded with more goodies than you can shake a stick at, and comes in a package smaller than a box of Pop-Tarts. It comes with a 166-page owners manual complete with tiny type, dozens of instructive illustrations and countless circles and arrows. The PC110 itself is covered with buttons, switches and toggles that would intimidate even the most seasoned techno-geek. But this digital camcorder is a lot of fun to use and captures great images thanks to its Car..

Sony DCR-TRV130 Digital8 Camcorder

The Sony DCR-TRV130 Digital8 Camcorder provides a good introduction to the world of digital video, being an easy-to-use and capable entry level digital camcorder. Despite being Sonys "best value" Digital8 camcorder, the TRV130 has a list of features that would fill this review on its own.

The Digital8 format uses standard 8 mm tapes to store digital video rather than the more expensive MiniDV format. You can fit up to 90 minutes on a single tape in LP mode. The TRV130 is respectably compact a..
