Does exactly what says on the box...
I was bought this as a present, and it works perfectly. Just measure the rice with the included cup, rinse it in a sieve, add to the cooker and top up with water to the correct line. Turn it on and get on with cooking the rest of your meal. You dont even need to worry about exactly when it finishes, as the "keep warm" function keeps it ready until youre ready to eat.
Ive used it to cook for my wife and I a few times, and then really tested it this weekend by cooking rice for 11 people. No problem at all, and most of the guests commented on how nicely cooked the rice was!
faulty design
I purchased thuis cooker recently from amazon.co.uk and had to return it as the cooker kept spitting water out throughout the cooking process making a mess of the whole work top. Besides there was a layer of rice stuck to the bottom which made cleaning difficult.
Tefal Rice Cooker
The Tefal Rice Cooker was bought for me as a present a few days ago and Ive already used it twice. Once to make the best basmati rice Ive had for a long time and again to cook chilli. The recipe book which comes with it is rather lacking in ideas and is not the easiest to follow but once youve grasped the basic principles of how the thing works the worlds your oyster. Upon purchasing The Ultimate Rice Cooker book (Amazon) I discovered a whole wealth of recipes which could be done in a rice cooker - like the chilli mentioned above. The rice cooker almost doubles as an electric frying pan then converts to a slow cooker when switched to the "warm" facility which the Tefal offers - brilliant! The Tefal also comes with a vegetable steaming basket but I havent tried this yet. Cant wait to finish the chilli and try somehting else in it.
Tower 5.5ltr Non Stick Pressure Cooker
I really would like a pressure cooker. The one I saw looks great...
We have also had a hi dome pressure cooker for some 20+ years and thought we would treat ourselves for Christmas. I ordered the cooker through a local catalogue and when it came we were delighted with the shiney cooker. We could not seem to get it up to pressure not matter how we tried. We telephoned..
We bought the multi-cooker to use as a slow cooker, but have been very impressed with all its other uses...stir frying, frying, stewing, steaming. Because of its large flat base, everything cooks very evenly. The removeable non-stick pot makes it very easy to clean. We hardly use our hobb any more. ..
I have used the tefal multi cooker for sometime,i have found it up to the same high standard you exspect from "Tefal".
The only down side it is on the large size so if you do not have a lot of space ,you end up putting it in a cupboard and you do not use it,if it could be made smaller if would..
