I was unsure on buying this camera because i was woried about the picture quality, after writing to people who had bought the camera, i was getting very possitive feedback. I went ahead and bought the camera. When it arrived(next day) i was very impressed with the style and size. The Picture quality is excelent 10/10 (clear shots from very far away and close up). Bulk 9/10. Software/hardware installation was very messy, it had problems finding the drivers. My friend who bought the camera after me said the same thing.I think they could improve this heaps 1/10. Saving images and transpoting is so simple i cant see it being a problem on anyone (very good)10/10.On the 8mb card you can store 12high quality images.OR 24 standard (which is still Very good!!)and 48 low res (which still good but not excellent. You can impove the card by spending a bit more on a a6 or 32 mb card. 8/10. Battery life eats very quick (try buying rechargable battery 4 AAs) 2/10 i hope this write up helps you on making the right desision on buying the Fuji FinePix 1300 Digital Camera . top class user friendly camera
I bought this as my first camera and was worried that digital may have been a step too far for a beginer, but i was pleasently surprised to find the 1300 to be easy to use and high quality to boot. I thought i would need a memory upgrade straight away but i dont as you can store up to 89 pics on the 8mb smart card, top class.

Fuji FinePix 1300 Digital Camera - a fantastic piece of kit
Well I have had this camera for about a month now and I have to say it is simply brilliant. I have Windows XP and when I had taken a couple of pics I plugged it into my PC. My pc recognised it instantly and I didnt have to install any of the supplied software to start retrieving the pics! Downloading pics is simplicity in itself as the PC just recognises the camera as another drive.
The quality of the pictures especially in fine at the top resolution is superb. I am really using the the images on the computer and sending pics of my 6 month old son to friends & family so I havent had any professionally printed out, but at its top resolution pictures should be fine at the normal 6x4 format.
If you are looking for a digital camera on a budget, this is hard to beat!
