Lite On 24x10x40x CD-RW Drive Review

Great for beginners, and experts alike
This is my first cd-writer. My cdrom was kaput so I had to replace it and thought I needed a writer - it was the perfect opportunity. As a newbie to burning/ripping cds, I have no frame of reference, but so far Ive had no problems with it. It was certainly easy to install (I didnt do it myself), and it comes with InCD and Nero Burning Rom to get you started. It also has "Buffer underun protection" which Im told by experts is wise because it prevents errors occuring during the making of cds and turning them into coasters!

Im still on a learning curve, but overall its been excellent value for money. If you want to delve into the world of burning/ripping your own cds, then this cd-writer would be a good place to start.

Ive had this about 3 weeks. I was a bit worried about putting in in my pc but it all went pretty well (phew!) Ive used it to copy cd albums and make my own albums from mp3s Ive downloaded. So far all is going well. Ive never had a writer before so I havent really got anything to compare it against, but it does the job very well
