Good product marred by a difficult installation
Having successfully used Norton products in the past, I was expecting Norton Internet Security Pro 2003 to be equally easy to install. Unfortunately this was not the case. It was only after editing the registry and reinstalling the operating system (XP) that I could get the programme to even install. Even then it took 3 attempts for the installation to work successfully. Once installed, although slightly slowing the running of the computer, Internet Security was easy to configure for a home network and gives the usual high standard of protection that is associated with Norton products, as well as additional features including a useful spam alert. Overall, it is a shame that an extremely difficult installation process lets down an otherwise good programme and many people may not persevere to find this out.

Reviewing software packages, what has my life become?
Norton Internet Security 2003 Pro is another excellent piece of software from the Symantec range. It has all the features of previous versions but using the latest technology and virus software.The package includes 365 days of free updates, so dont worry for the next year at least, you will have full virus protection. In honesty I would never consider purchasing, banking, or selling online without this piece of software on the computer. Whether or not is sends fake stuff to justify its own existence and make me paranoid I do not know, however I do know that it protects me from a lot of bad things that I did not know existed as well as scanning every email, programme and communication that your computer sends or receives. Conclusion - Over the years I have seen a lot of virus software, more recently firewall and virus software combined and nothing so far compares to the superiority and easy of use provided with Norton Internet Security 2003 Pro. If you are serious about using the internet be serious about security!
