Outstanding hardware and support
Good package. Plenty of addition software. Regular updated drivers. The trick is that the card is really a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz. Get the latest drivers from Turtle Beach (Videologic take a while to obtain and rebadge) and most troubles vanish. Videologic offer simply amazing customer support, the best Ive experienced in a long time. Only two minor problems: 1. Creative do lead the field in standards and this card cant do the latest EAX HD (EAX3). 2. DVD must be done by a software decoder to get proper 5.1. Bit frustrating with a Hardware DVD decoder board in your system.

Good hardware, plus driver problems at no extra charge!
This product has succeeded in giving me much satisfaction at the cost of some disappointment. I cant fault the hardware itself - nice card, very pleased with it! Disappointment reared its ugly head when I tried to install the drivers. I mean, Im not new to this game by any means, but it defeated me. The problem wasnt so much with the drivers, but the Control Panel software which is a neat little configuration tool which gives the user complete control of the cards many functions. Once installed the Control Panel has its own icon right next to the system time. I tried over and over to install this without success. I mean, I checked everything in fine detail - the driver versions, my bios setup, possible conflicts, read all documentation, support pages, etc. The installation would seem to be okay, but after a reboot the Conrol Panel just wouldnt load, meaning I could not configure my setup as a 5.1 speaker surround sound system instead of the default 2 speaker stereo option. I gave up and after a couple of days for no apparent reason, the Control Panel decides to load and function perfectly! I cannot explain this! Now that everything is working fine, I am very happy the Sonic Fury, however I have not forgotten the problems I had installing it, I would not be confident in buying any Video Logic products in the furture because of this...

Exceptional
This soundcard is so good it is hard to describe it. I recently upgraded from a soundblaster 128 and the difference is incredible. It also comes packaged with a special control panel sound system for your desktop which allows customisation of the output chanels. Studio quality sound for under 100 quid. Really quite amazing.

Philips CDR775 CD Recorder
|
Philips CDR 775 audio CD recorder brings high-speed recording and hard-wired convenience to a new level of affordability. The deck works equally well as a recorder and as a player, thanks to its abundant hook-up options. It doesnt muster the stellar quality from its analogue outputs that youll find in pricier CD recorders and players, though the digital outputs sound fine. The CDR 775 is equally happy receiving data from either of the two established means of digital audio transmission (opti..

Samsung Yepp 32MB Digital Audio Player
|
The Samsung Yepp is easily one of the coolest-looking digital audio players around. The most outstanding feature of the Yepp is its size--only 3.2 by 2.4 by 0.97 inches and 1.7 ounces; its the size a deck of cards (and just a bit lighter). The controls are easily reached and the player has great sound. Better still, it never skipped a beat during our testing even when it was inadvertently slammed around a few times. Of course, with its small size, youre paying a price in memory. This Yepp hol..
