Just a quick warning!
I decided to buy the Iomega HipZip MP3 Player after reading many positive reviews. However, when I recieved my player I was not happy. I had problems because the battery life was very short - much shorter than advertised, however, this could have been an individual problem. I soon discovered that the discs only fit approximately nine 4minute songs on which was dissapointing, especially because of the expense and limited availability of the discs. I also had problems with the software crashing when loading songs onto the player, even windows media player wouldnt work. I was unable to copy my CD collection onto the discs with ease because of the different format, however I later discovered this to be possible, with a cd ripper. Overall, the player has some good features - as listed in other reviews but at less expense a minidisc player can be purchased with many more advantages including cheeper discs (which fit far more music on, the ability to record outside sound and much more!

Finally a economical, reliable mp3 player for active people!
I have waited to purchase a mp3 player because I was not willing to pay for a 64mb memory pack. I wanted more flexibility. I wanted to have a large amount of music at my fingertips. Solid state memory, because of its pricing was not the option. Additionally, I didnt want to get something that would skip when I go running. Because I do use my mp3 player when I run, size was an issue as well. The HipZip meets all of those requirements. Its about time someone filled that gaping hole in the mp3 player market. Up to this point, there has not been a good solution to my problem. Thanks Iomega!

This is a life upgrade
Forget minidisk, portable cd and flash memory based portatble this wins hand down. This player is so easy to use, similar to using a zip drive, u just drag and drop mp3s or wmas to the drive and thats it! It lightning quick uploading the songs and the sound quality is comparable to cheaper cd players ive heard. u may think 40mb is not a lot, but its enough for 16 tracks in 96kb wma format and this player excels playing wma files. If u make wma direct from cd or a 256kb mp3 quality, then wmas sounds better than 128mp3 on this player, espically on the drums and bass. Guess what else it can do? u can use it to ferry files back and foward between pcs, with the little usb cable and no software required for windows me or 2000. U can store whaterver u like on the discs.

It goes up to 10 hours before needed a recharge. and it can play ANY wma format,so you can put audio books on it 6 hours longs if u want to. THIS IS THE MOST FLEXIBLE PORTABLE DIGITAL MUSIC PLAYER ON THE MARKET. Just make sure u do the simple flash upgades and buy a decent set of headphones, my 15 quid panasonics i have are a massive impovement on the foul el cheapo part that is supplied. One last thing its designed for heaphones and sounds great with them, but if use the headphone port as a line out on am amp the quality is noticable poorer. Clicks discs are so small and wiegh nothing. if u think a minidisk is small this is half the size and 3 times thinner. One last thing, someone please make a car kit for this baby so i can use it in my car just think of the advantages of that!

Sony D-CJ01 Silver MP3 CD Walkman

P>This Sony is really great... I got it earlier today and its played all the MP3s Ive thrown at it perfectly. The size, sound and build quality are great, and it does NOT skip! It lacks some features which were cool on the Rio - m3u/winamp playlist support, memories for the last 10 discs used, upgra..

Rio Volt SP250 MP3 CD Player

The Rio Volt SP250 is a neat, portable digital-audio CD player which handles MP3 and WMA tracks as well as standard audio CDs. It includes an FM tuner, too. Portable MP3 players have been around for a while and CD-based Walkman-style devices much longer than that, but a player which combines the two is more of a novelty. Rio Volts SP250 is the top model in a range of digital audio players which aims to play just about anything you drop into it.

This is a versatile device. For a start, it can ..
