European Travel Companion provides you with eight handy CD-ROMs to improve your language skills and help you find your way around the leading cities. If you are heading for Paris, the Great Cities of Europe discs let you quickly call up maps of the streets and discover useful local information about tipping at restaurants, bank opening hours and airport contact details. The information is concise and easy to find. To brush up on your French, you can practise your pronunciation with Talk to Me: French. You read out a phrase and it is read back to you so you can practise ordering fresh croissants and coffee. Its fairly basic and not half as good as a full face-to-face conversation, but it does help improve your accent if you havent spoken the language for a while. There are similar titles in the pack for Spanish and German. The European Travel Companion also offers a ski atlas so you can learn about the top 160 winter resorts and look up accommodation details. There is an easy-to-use route planner, too, which lets you plot journeys through Europe. These practical titles face stiff competition from information-rich travel Web sites, but they are very helpful and would be an inexpensive addition to your suitcase.--Justin Hunt |

This cd is great, what more can i say, it protects cds, great for storage, easyer access, you no where they all are (Unless you loose the case, or gets stolen thats a downside!). As a uni student i need something that will save space for i have limited room, and with my vast amounts of music these a..
