Pro Pilot 99 is a light aircraft flight simulator for the PC running Windows 95 or 98 which allows you to take flights over scenery in the USA, Canada and Europe--flying over the Golden Gate bridge or even buzzing the Vatican. The graphics are, according to the box, best viewed with a Voodoo 3Dfx card. This may account for the fact that when we used another perfectly respectable card we found the scenery to be frankly disappointing. Offered for your flying pleasure are six aircraft from Cessna and Beechcraft--three single-engine light aircrafts, two twin-engines and a turbojet. There are 4,300 airports to visit ranging from Boston and San Francisco with their frantic Class-B airspace to the laid-back uncontrolled airspace at places such as Morris, Minnesota. A flying tutorial is included, covering everything from the physics of flight to the logistics of manoeuvres, stalls, takeoffs and landings, as well as airspace classification, radio communications, navigation, instrument flying and cross-country flying. If you havent played with a flight simulator before, this little lot should give you a good grounding. If youre a seasoned PC pilot, a quick flip through the Getting Started guide should be enough to see you airborne. If youre happy to fly solely light aircraft, Pro Pilot is well worth a look, but its less likely that youll get the chance to add aircraft the way you can with Microsofts Flight Simulator 2000. --Mark Whitehorn |

Very nice software for FS98. It has the present Air Force One VC-25A(B747) and the Air Force One used during the JFK era VC-137B (B707). Another 3 US Navy aircraft come with this package VC-137A-MATS/VC 135A STRATOTANKER and the E-3A SENTRY/AWACS(B707 type). The panels are excellent and the airport .. 
Microsofts Combat Flight Simulator: WWII Europe Series does exactly what is says on the box--it lets you fly Second World War aircraft in combat missions. You can elect to fly "quick combat" missions or take part in a variety of campaigns flying for the British, Germans and Americans. You can choose how realistic you want the flight characteristics of the aircraft to be. Crank it up full and too tight a turn will see you spinning to destruction... unless your spin recovery technique is po.. 
normally i hate ww2 combat flight sims ..(out side of using them to stooge around the skys, and for add ons etc)
I guess tat this is a case of Buy One, Get One For Free(BOGOFF)! Air Warrier 3 is a very slight improvement on Air Warrier 2, though it all seems to be more of the same. The only difference is that the ground has some textures, which are okay, and match the grainy look of the cockpit interiors and w.. 
Is this another F-22 or F-18 game? Well, yes and no. These 2 types are your options and they do the job pretty well, though the cockpits and graphic details are spare (the external views are in low visibility grey colourings anyway), so it has more of a gamey feel. The landscape (Arctic) looks cold ..
