| LEGO Baby: Shape & Colour Sorter (3238) |
| Description |
LEGO Baby toys are designed to stimulate the body, mind and emotional skills. The Shape & Colour Sorter certainly fills its potential, as it is both brilliant and versatile. Hardwearing, with washable soft toys, it is aimed at babies of nine months and over. With each block and soft toy having a different colour and sound, the toy helps to teach colour recognition, sorting, storytelling, and stimulates social skills. Open the door on a block and inside is a little soft animal; a round frog that rattles, a triangular mouse that squeaks and a square chick that chirrups when you shake him. The animals are made from a soft velveteen fabric with ears, tails or feet--all in contrasting colours and fabrics--with securely stitched faces. The frog is green, the mouse is blue and the chick is yellow and they all match their hardwearing homes. The blocks have a shaped hole in the top and in the door through which the shaped animals can be placed. The doors are made of a coloured see-through plastic so you can see the little animal in his home! The blocks can be stacked and used in conjunction with other LEGO Baby products. There are hours of fun in this toy. The little animals are chewable yet too large to be a choking hazard. The soft toys are just the right size for little hands. A one-year-old loved the noises and was fascinated by placing the toy in the block and then opening the door to retrieve it. The blocks are great for stacking and knocking down. It is a lovely, clever toy that will undoubtedly be played with until most children are two to three years old. Please note that the toys should not be washed above 40 degrees centigrade. However, the lid fits very snugly and once all the blocks have been posted an adult will probably be needed to empty the canister before baby can start again. Babys..
