PlanIT Marketing Plan is designed to help small businesses create marketing documents. The core application is a template with wizards to help you write a marketing plan for each unit within your company. Nothing is left out and each page includes helpful notes to make the process a bit less painful. The more complex areas of the plan also include wizards that will walk you through the details one by one. The software also comes with a selection of pre-written sales letters which can be used in a variety of situations and a references database with a number of useful addresses for everything from political organisations to venture capitalists. For the price, PlanIT Marketing Plan is a great tool. In addition to the templates and wizards, the application keeps track of your previous plans and even lets you write new plans based on your old ones without the risk of overwriting important data. Like other PlanIT software tools, though, the integration with major word processing software is not very good so if you want to do anything fancy like adding graphics or changing the formatting substantially you will have to export your files to Rich Text Format and then import them into Word or WordPerfect. --Elizabeth Wall |
