The Oscar winning make-up and transformation scenes still look good and rather than send itself up Werewolf plays its horror seriously, the laughs coming naturally from the surreal situation. Naughton is engagingly confused and disbelieving, desperately coping with the ever more nightmarish world, while Landis delivers one absolutely stunning dream sequence, an unbearably tense hunt on the London Underground and a breathtaking finale. Gory, erotic, shocking and romantic, this unforgettable horror classic has it all. Tom Hollands Fright Night (1985) remixed the formula with vampires, as did Landis himself in Innocent Blood (1992). I have to say that this is one of the best Rainbow videos i have ever seen. I grew up watching Rainbow and this brought back loads of memories... 
Well I was a bit sceptical of buying a new improved version of The Snowman as the original is such a classic. However I found a lot of the extras interesting, it gave me a good insight of how animation used to be created. I also found that because it was in widescreen I didnt have the annoying black.. 
Paul Newman and his Butch Cassidy director, George Roy Hill, made a very original comedy in this 1977 story of an over-the-hill player/coach (Newman) for a lousy hockey team who gets results when he teaches his players to get dirty. One of the most hilariously profane movies ever to come out of Hollywood, this is the kind of film that makes its own rules as it goes along. Newman is very good, and while Hill goes for the gusto in terms of capturing the violence of this world, his instinct .. 
This 1951 adaptation of A Christmas Carol, starring Alastair Sim as Ebenezer Scrooge, is hailed by many as the best adaptation of Charles Dickens timeless Christmas story.
