| Lamaze Nesting Present |
| Description |
Heres a welcome twist to the usual stackable toy, offered by Lamaze as part of its Imagining and Discovering collection of products for children aged 12 months to three years. There are four soft and scrunchy round containers of varying sizes to nest inside each other, or stack one on top of another. The entire presentation is bright and appealing--classic Lamaze--with the vibrantly coloured, contrasting fabrics and materials that have become its signature. One of the containers has a clear base, one has a smiley face, and one has a mirror to gaze into. The smallest of the shapes is rather like a tennis ball, ideal for grabbing and squeezing, with a jingly bell inside to rattle and shake. Its all wrapped up with a smiley-faced lid and a fancy purple ribbon and bow. This is a simple toy that appeals on a number of levels. The containers are good at getting across the idea of varying sizes and are perfect for the "put in, take out" phase of early exploration. Just handling them produces a satisfying crinkly sound. Young builders will use the containers to make a tower; a toddler, especially one who is starting to attend birthday parties and understanding the concept of giving and receiving, is likely to use the toy for make-believe gift giving. Its simple fun, beautifully presented and surface washable. -Ann Prahl |

First the milk bottle needs to be filled: simply hold the milk preparation can against the top of the bottle and it will magically fill in with "real" milk. When the bottle is pressed into the babys mouth, the..

Fisher-Price Babys First Blocks

The blocks come in a brightly-coloured canister with a shape-sorting lid. The lid is designed to improve hand-eye coordination as babies try to post each shape through the correct hole. However, the lid fits very snugly and once all the blocks have been posted an adult will probably be needed to empty the canister before baby can start again. Babys..
